Portland is known for a few things, one being their amazing food carts. Hanging out with our friends, the Hedgecock's, we learned Portland has a food-cart festival - under a bridge. How cool is that?!? We learned however, that prices this year were twice of what they were from last year and the line getting into the festival. . . well, let's just say we weren't able to just walk right in. The line looped around about 4.5 city blocks and about 45 minutes after commencing our wait, we finally got into the festival.
This year's festival featured 40 food-carts, versus last year's 30 carts. Although we were unable to make it to all 40 carts (we probably made it to 25 or 30) we scored with free Vitamin D water and SoyJoy bars (which totally sounds disgusting - but actually aren't too bad).
Dan and I forgot our cameras, however some of our favorite food-carts were Whiffies Fried Pies (brisket, apple, and berry), Flavourspot S'mores Waffles and Fifty Licks Ice Cream. This was definitely a uniquely Portland, Oregon experience . . . . eating at incredible food-carts under a bridge - gotta love it!
